This time I'm off to Ireland for a week with Jackie, who I met through the local CTC club. Tomorrow morning we set off by train and ferry to Dublin using SailRail tickets, which were pleasantly cheap but there's some uncertainly regarding the necessity to book seats on the ferry - something not provided by the SailRail package.
Jackie is on her trusty Geos bike. I'm on the Condor again, which has just come back from the sort of service where lots of expensive parts get replaced. Thanks to Butterworths for the quick turnaround :-)
The plan is to ride down the north-east coast to Wexford, along the bottom to Dungarvan, cut across inland to Killarney then inland again to Limerick, swinging in a moon-shape to avoid some nasty looking hills. Then, if time permits, inland again back to Dublin.
